About ShreedDwarkadhish.in
ShreedDwarkadhish.in is a devotional guide to Dwarkadhish Temple and the sacred city of Dwarka, Gujarat — one of the four Char Dhams of Hindu pilgrimage. Our mission is to help every pilgrim arrive prepared, informed, and spiritually ready.
Our Mission
ShreedDwarkadhish.in was created with one purpose: to help pilgrims visit Dwarka fully prepared. Dwarka is one of the four Char Dhams — among the most important pilgrimage destinations in Hinduism — yet many pilgrims arrive without knowing basic information like temple timings, darshan queues, how to reach Bet Dwarka by ferry, or where to eat near the temple. This site exists to fill that gap.
Every page on this site is written by devotees, for devotees. We believe pilgrimage is one of the most transformative experiences in human life, and good preparation allows a pilgrim to focus entirely on devotion rather than logistics. Whether you are a first-time visitor or returning after many years, we hope this site makes your darshan more peaceful and complete.
The content is free and will always remain free. We receive no sponsorship from hotels, travel agencies, or commercial interests. Our only goal is accurate, reliable, and devotionally respectful information about Dwarka and Lord Dwarkadhish.

About Dwarkadhish Temple
Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, stands at the sacred confluence of the Gomti River and the Arabian Sea in Dwarka, Gujarat. The temple's soaring 78.3-metre shikhara is one of the most recognisable landmarks on the western coast of India, visible from the sea and from kilometres around. The presiding deity is Trivikrama, a form of Lord Vishnu worshipped here as Dwarkadhish — the Lord and King of Dwarka. As one of the four Char Dhams of Hindu pilgrimage, alongside Badrinath, Puri and Rameshwaram, Dwarkadhish Temple holds a position of supreme importance in the Hindu faith, and its darshan is considered among the most auspicious blessings a devotee can receive in a lifetime.
The temple in its current stone form is over 2,500 years old, though the site itself is believed to be far more ancient. According to the Mahabharata and the Bhagavata Purana, Lord Krishna established his kingdom of Dwaravati — the Golden City — here approximately 5,000 years ago. Dwarka is also one of the seven Moksha-giving cities (Saptapuri) of Hinduism. Underwater explorations off the Dwarka coast have revealed submerged city ruins that many historians and archaeologists associate with the legendary Dwaravati described in the ancient scriptures, lending extraordinary historical weight to a city that has been a pilgrimage destination since time immemorial.
